
Garth is the Principal of Garth Norbraten Architect Inc., a Toronto-based practice established in 1995. As the son of a carpenter-turned-architect, he has a first hand understanding of construction and craft that informs his design thinking. Garth studied architecture at the University of Manitoba and on a year long fellowship in Helsinki, Finland. His career has taken him from his father's practice in Saskatchewan to Tokyo and Toronto. He is a sessional instructor teaching Design Studio and lecture courses in the architecture department of Toronto Metropolitan University. Garth and Daniel have been working collaboratively on projects of mutual interest since 1999.
